 Who we are 

Nurture Baby is the trading name for White Horse Health Care Ltd (WHHC Ltd) who are the data controller; ICO Registration number ZB949224.The purpose of this policy is to provide information about how WHHC Ltd processes personal data.  

All personal data collected about clients and associates is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) and Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations 2004. 

The data we collect: 

We keep a record of the following personal data plus a summary of our consultation with you, which includes but is not necessarily limited to: Your name, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability; relevant health information; baby’s name and date of birth/age (or due date, if still pregnant); postal address (house number, postcode); phone number; email address and GP practice. 

We collect your data via our intake form, embedded in our website, via the telephone, video call and during in person consultations. We recognise that the information we keep is sensitive and will ensure that this is stored securely. Your information will only be accessible to those who need to see it and will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected.  All of our team undergo annual data protection training. 

Our lawful basis for processing your data: 

The personal information that we collect is necessary to enable us to conduct a thorough consultation, support you and make a personalised plan of care. This is done using Legal Obligation, Contract, Consent and Legitimate Interest. Any special category data is processed using Explicit Consent and Consent or GDPR Article 9, para 2.h with Legal Obligation. We have a policy in place for processing special category data. 

We will use data collected as part of our consultations and for service improvement. We will only use anonymised data for research purposes.  

We will use your email address to send information in relation to your consultation or if you have signed up to our news alerts. 

Our legitimate Interests:  

A legitimate interest is when we have a business or commercial reason to use your information, so long as this is not overridden by your own rights and interests. Our legitimate interests for using your data are: to provide a service to you, improve our service, to comply with the requirements of our regulatory body, for research purposes (where data will be anonymised). 

Data recipients: 

Personal data is processed by WHHC Ltd so we can provide a service to your family. All personal data will be treated confidentially and will not be shared beyond the Nurture Baby Team (WHHC Ltd) without your permission, unless we are required to by law or have a statutory duty to share information.  Please see our Safeguarding statement. (GDPR Article 9, para 2.h) 

Data sharing: 

With your explicit consent we may share your personal information with healthcare professionals including, but not restricted to general practitioners, health visitors, midwives, other healthcare professionals.  (Explicit Consent) 

Data Retention: 

All information we hold will be stored securely in electronic format. Personal data will not be kept for longer than is necessary. The exception to this is if a safeguarding issue is raised. In this event, we will create a separate record, which will be retained in secure electronic format for the duration advised by the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. This may be shared with other agencies, in accordance with our statutory obligations. 

This information will be accessible only to Nurture Baby (WHHC Ltd) partners.  

Your data protection rights: 

You have the right to access the information we hold about you. You have the right to object to our processing in certain circumstances. You have the right to withdraw your consent where we are relying upon that as a lawful basis. You have the right to have inaccurate data rectified by us. You have the right to erasure of the information we hold, unless we are obliged to legitimately retain that information. You can make this request either verbally or in writing. 

If you would like to exercise any of those rights, please email contact@nurturebaby.onmicrosoft.com with the following information: 

  • Your full name, telephone number, and email address 

  • Proof of your identity and address (a copy of your driving license or passport and a recent utility or credit card bill). 

  • Tell us what right you want to exercise and the information to which your request relates. 

Changes to our Privacy Policy: 

The current policy was agreed by Nurture Baby/ WHHC Ltd on 1/9/25; all previous policies are stored electronically and you can request a copy of this by contacting contact@nurturebaby.onmicrosoft.com

Our website contains links to other websites.  Our privacy policy only applies to Nurture Baby, please see the individual privacy policy for other websites.
